Plus Factor 6 guides learners to a B1+ level, where they will be able to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. They will be able to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. They will be able to produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. They will be able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
This series fosters the development of the four language skills as well as life skills through the following key features:
- Easy-to follow lesson sequences, which offer three class-moments each: opening (Explore), development (Let´s do it), and closing (Learning evidence) as students work on the social practices of the language.
- Competences to be developed in each lesson clearly stated.
- Step-by- step approach to grammar.
- Plus Factor includes a Diagnostic evaluation at the beginning of each block and an Evaluation test at the end of each block.
- Colloquial and meaningful language to motivate students to use the language learned in class, in their everyday lives.
- Consolidation lessons at the end of every unit for reviewing purposes, discussion of values (Values rule!), a project (Learning Evidence) and a self-evaluation page (Self – assessment).
- A Dossier with extra material for further practice.
- Listening activities to reinforce grammar structures and identify different sounds and pronunciations.
- The outcome profile at each level is based on the standards and goals stated in the Common European Framework of Reference.
- 2000 words according to level B1+ of the Common European Framework of Languages.
